Why I built my own products first
How can you ask someone to trust you with their app if you’ve never put one on the App Store? So before taking on client work, I built and launched my own: an iPhone app, a Shopify app, an AI receptionist and a full management platform.
Each one taught me something you can’t learn from a tutorial: how long things really take, what Apple and Shopify reviewers look for, how phone numbers are regulated, how to keep money calculations right to the penny. All of that goes into your project.
Why one person
Most agencies put layers between you and the people building your software: account managers, project managers, offshore teams. Every layer adds cost and loses detail. With Archii there’s one conversation, with the person who actually knows how your software works.
Design first
I start with how the software should feel to use, then work backwards to the engineering. It’s the opposite of how most business software gets made, and it’s why mine doesn’t look like everyone else’s.
